Cable or bowden is the device for the flexible transfer of mechanical efforts in the car control systems
It consists of the strong steel wattled core covered with greasing and placed in a flexible casing with the polyurethane cover. There are installed the fittings (end rods) on the cable ends fixing its external cover, but it allows core independent movings in it.
The push-pull cables of remote control are intended for transfer push-pull efforts from the management mechanism to the executive mechanism on any bent line. As a rule, management cables replace lever and hydraulic efforts transfer systems which are more bulky, metal-consuming, difficult for adjustment, and consequently undependable.
The sphere of remote control cables application is wide enough:
- the land technics (tractors, cars, buses, combines, road cars, chisel stations);
- special medical units;
- sea and river water craft (boats, yachts, scooters);
- air transport (planes, helicopters)
Push-pull cables can be widely used because of their simple and reliable construction, resistant to the impervious to weather and excited environment, silence, vibrational proof, lightweight. Depending on working conditions the push-pull cables are divided into series and within each of them have certain parametres that can be chosen proceeding from your problems.
Push-pull cable structure:
The fittings of different function are:- internal (ball-joints, dampers, screw-in anchor), coordinated with control units such as levers of a gear box and clutch, moving elements of a manual brake, various shifters in turned cabins of dredges and cranes, external switches in the hinged equipment of tractors and also in many other control systems.
- external which, as a rule, leave in the salon or cabin of a vehicle and are controlled by the driver-operator. As the sphere of control cables application covers the most different branches, among the external fittings there can be handles of a hand brake, doors or bonnet, every possible emergency systems fire extinguishing, managements of hydraulics or a pneumatic units, control elements on planes, yachts and boats.
