The most important property of the remote control cable is its ability to transfer efforts from the control mechanism to the actuator, which, in fact, is its main purpose. Even in ancient times, they noticed that almost any body movements in classical mechanics are determined by only three forces: gravity, elasticity and friction.
With gravity or, as physicists often say, gravitations, it’s all easier — reduce the weight of the moving parts and you will benefit.

– But what about the force of elasticity and the force of friction?
Upon closer inspection, both of these forces turn out to be of electromagnetic origin. But the external manifestations of these forces are different: deformation is one thing, and sliding on an uneven surface is quite another. That is, a large number of bends of the track is the main obstacle to the transfer of effort by the control cable.

Friction forces are also the electromagnetic interaction of atoms (and molecules) of one substance with atoms (and molecules) of another substance. The tubercles and notches that cling to each other the core of the cable and its sheath are easy to eliminate, for example, by creating an outer coating of the core of Teflon.
